Not quite the cat's meow!

It does not fall quite as slow as video, but I guess it's ok. I unscrewed one end a little to get proper length, glued in place with thread lock'

The Strut is Too Short!!!

I ordered two tailgate assists thinking I’d install two for better support. I ended up installing only one because that was really all that was needed, as the tailgate lowers at a much slower pace than the DeeZee one. Only problem is that the weight of the tailgate is supported by the tailgate assist and not the two cables on either side of the tailgate as the strut only extends so far. Therefore I’m keeping the extra one (unused) in the event the installed one gives out in the future due to the stress and weight put on it.
